SPRING 2021 PROGRAMMING PLAN

With everything related to the current school year just getting back up to speed, our plan for the first part of 2021 is to allow schools and presenters to figure out what their year will look like in terms of public gatherings for spring, and then work with our school partners to come up with presentation methods that are built around safety for our performers as well as audiences. There are a number of different production styles under review, including solo performer in the classroom and streaming options, but we realize that until the actual school day process is more defined, that live performances will be far down the list of considerations for schools and districts. With the rollout of vaccines, it's our hope that by early this year, we're all feeling confident of the road ahead and that we might be able to get some public performances in by the very end of the spring semester, with a full complement of touring shows available for the 2021/22 season.

Any deposits already submitted for shows cancelled by the state's mandated shutdown in spring 2020 will be credited towards re-booked performances when circumstances allow.

We've already committed to retaining the artists who were employed during the 2019/20 season for their productions, and will be retaining all of the shows currently offered for at least one more year.

The fall showcases and expos we usually do (Arts Midwest and Premier Showcase) will be virtual this year, and we'll be participating as exhibitors. We're not planning on printing a full fall catalog of performances, as we usually do, but will have a new catalog ready as there is a clearer picture of what opportunities for live performance will look like during the upcoming calendar year.
