Back again is our fast & funny adaptation of Irving's classic Halloween tale. Lots of fun for your kids, and lots of interactivity for your students AND your staff! Book early, since available dates have a tendency to go fast!
The show that started it all! Back for a tenth year, our modern-dress take on Dickens' classic remains one of our most popular shows. Smart, funny, and fast-paced, this has all the heart of any other "Carol" and twice as many laughs.
Aesop and the Brothers Grimm meet Chicago-style improv in this inventive collection of classic fairy tales. Why is the Fisherman's Wife so greedy? How can you use a pea to catch a princess? Loads of fun for ages 5 and up!

GW Bookings double in 2007-2008
The numbers are in, and GreatWorks literally doubled the number of bookings for our touring shows from the 2006-2007 school year. Part of this expansion was fueled by a huge increase in bookings from outside the Chicago area. Find out how you can book a show by clicking here!

In response to teacher requests, GreatWorks is pleased to let you know of the addtion of two new shows based on popular books for the new season. We're still in the process of getting all the paperwork signed, but be on the lookout for the announcement of the titles and available dates.

WHERE DID SHE GROW UP?
"I grew up in St. Paul, MN and moved here for College. I went to Northwestern University in Evanston and liked the Chicagoland area so much I stayed."

WHAT WAS THE FIRST PLAY SHE SAW?
"I remember seeing Babes In Toyland at the local Jewish Community Center in grade school and the people on stage were so much larger than life to me. I saw Twelfth Night in grade school too and remember just getting swept up into the story with no thought of the language being in the way at all."

Madelon has two kids of her own now in 1st and 4th grades and she takes them to the theatre every chance she gets. "Learning from the right brain is very important to me. My children are processing complex information whole and receiving it on multiple levels - mental, emotional, physical/sensory - and they're having a great time!" She feels wonderful about being a part of bringing similar experiences to GreatWorks audiences. "I love the thought that we're teaching them that learning is fun. I'm having a great time and I know they can feel that!

WHERE ELSE HAS SHE APPEARED ?
Madelon can also be found onstage with her theatre company, Another Chicago Theatre Co., doing The Last Play Standing, an innovative audience active process of discovering great new scripts (check them out online at www.anotherchicago.org. One of her favorite roles was co-starring with her son last winter in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

WHAT DO SHE LIKE TO DO WHEN SHE'S NOT PERFORMING?
When she's not performing she loves to travel. This summer's itinerary includes Virgina and Oregon with many stops in between.

Madelon can be seen in our productions of CHICAGO; A CULTURAL MOSAIC and FRACTURED FAIRY TALES
