When orphan Sophie is snatched from her bed by a Giant, she fears that he’s going to eat her. But although he carries her far away to Giant Country, the Giant has no intention of harming her. He is THE BIG FRIENDLY GIANT!

But wait - that's not all. It turns out that this Giant is also a Dream-blowing Giant, and every day or two, he's heading off to Dreamland to capture dreams in huge glass jars, so he can transport them to the bedrooms of sleeping boys and girls and give them the best dreams he can. There's only problem in his life - he lives with nine other truly monstrous giants whose idea of a great time is noshing on the same boys and girls The BFG likes so much.

Sophie and the BFG become great friends and eventually get the Queen of England to help them defeat the child-eating giants of Giantland. With the Queen's help, the BFG becomes the hero of the day, and as in any good story, they all live happily ever after (except for the bad Giants, of course).

Adapted from Roald Dahl's modern classic, this is great entertainment for kids in grades K-5, and is available for year-round touring to schools and libraries.

The BFG is available through November, 2010 only, so book your fall dates quickly!
